Day 1Negombo Fish market/(Sigiriya)

Meet and greet in the airport drive to Negombo fish market.Negombo is second larges city in western province.the fish market located near the negombo lagoon. Fishermans already start Fishes offloade from the boats before 5.00am.there are few wooden tables cut fishes easily and many kind of fishes as lobster, crab, prawns tuna, even sharks.

Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage
A place you will really enjoy and never forget.Started in 1972 the Elephant Orphanage It was relocated to at the present Place in 1975 . You can see milk feeding , Bathing at Ma Oya just in front of the orphanage.

Ancient city of Sigiriya

Day 2Ancient city of Anuradhapuraya or Polonaruwa

Ancient City of Anuradhapura: The Mahawansa is a very important historiography of philosophy in Sri Lanka. It was made by the monk of Mahanama. According to Mahawansa Anuradhapura was built by major Anuradha, as an inhabited country in 543 BC period of Vijaya King. However, king of Pandukabaya improved this village with so many facilities 382.BC Anuradhapura is a primus city in the world kept 1500 years continuously.

Ancient City of Polonnaruwa: Mahawansa said Polonnaruwa is the second capital city in Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura’s first kingdom currently came down with many reasons. Specially, they failed to stabilize the tendance in each region as the South Indian invasion. King of v Mihindu conducted Polonnaruwa as the administration center 1017AD. But he was taken to India as a prisoner by Chola. Anyways king of Parakrabahu built Polonnaruwa as the main economic center in 1153 AD and united this motherland during that time.

Bullock cart ride and canoeing in Hiriwadunna lake (Night stay at Sigiriya): Sri Lankan’s used bullock cart as main transportation many years ago. Also, they provide bullock cart with two bulls to go to the lake.

It is 30 – 40 minutes and canoeing in the lake same time.

With life jackets, we will be visiting Chena (cultivated area) meet farmers get lunch or dinner as per your request.

Day 3Elephant ride at Habarana – (Kandy)

There are many places providing Elephant ride safe and enjoyable.

Cave Buddhist temple of Dambulla: The old names are Dambulu lena, Swarnagiri vihara with five caves.it’s located Matale district. The caves were occupied for meditation by monks from the period of Walagamba (Watta Gamini Abaya) 104 BC. The statues and paintings are related to Lord Buddha’s life and they were painted by colours with local raw materials.

Ancient temple of Nalanda Gedige
Nalanda Gedige is a Stone Temple look likes Hindu Temple. But, inside one can see both Hindu God’s & Buddha statues. The first built was 7 C – 8 C by king Manabharana. As per popular usage, there was a sign of the beginning of Sinhalese in the Statue of Lion.

Ayurveda herbal Garden (spice road) – (Night stay at Kandy) Many herbal gardens are both sides of spice road. Sri Lankan spices were very important. During ancient times Greeks, Romans and the Arabic for trade.there are many kinds of spices as cinnamon, cardamom, pepper, vanilla etc.

Day 4Peradeniya Royal Botanic Garden–(Kandy)

Sri Lanka is home to the largest botanic garden located Kandy Peredeniya. The history of botanic garden dates as far back 1371 AD when king Wikkrama bahu ascended the throne and held court at near Mahaweli river.

Later, in the reign of King Kirthi Sri 1747 AD to 1780 AD this was made a royal garden and from 1780AD – 1798 AD king of Rajadi Rajasinha resided therein. The garden is the biggest at 59 hectares and spices under cultivation are more than four thousand with many kinds of flowers.

Kandy downtown local market: Kandy is the second largest city in the country and the last kingdom in Sri Lanka. King of Sri Wikkrama Rajasiha government until the 2nd March 1815. The city is famous for shopping and that is the reason why so many different kinds of shops are available with prices quite reasonable and less than Colombo.
Culture Dance: The dance is conducting with Sri Lanka’sCultural aspects. So it is really interesting with drums, dance withfire masks etc.

Day 5Tooth Relics Temple – (Night stay at Kandy)

Kandy is the most excellent and majestic holy place in the world for Buddhism.

After the Parinirvana of Buddha, his relics were preserved by princes Hemmala and Dhantha, during the period of King Kirthi Sri Megawarna (301-328AD).

They arrived the island (the Place Lankapatuna) and kept relics at Isurumuni Vihara (Megagiri viharaya) in Anuradhapura. However, after the change kingdom, the Tooth Relics were kept at different places for protection.

There is a possibility to visit there in the evening.

Day 6Gem Logical Museum and workshop–(Nuwara Eliya)

Sri Lanka has the widest variety of precious stones among the world’s gem producing countries – Blue Sapphires, Star Sapphires, Ruby, Cat’s Eye, Garnets, Moonstones, Aquamarines and topazes being just a dazzling handful.

Handicraft Work Shop: In between, we visit a handicraft shop and familiarize with traditional designs such as Makara (a mythical animal, lion, swan, elephant and louts which are most evident in brasswork (Boxes, trays, lanterns, vases) and silverware (ornately carved and filigree jewellery, tea-sets) that make excellent souvenirs.

Batik Factory: Batik is an art medium and methodology for creating design, usually on cloth, by applying wax to portions of the material. Then dyeing it and removing the wax. This can be done to make vibrant colors and incredible designs.

Ramboda waterfall: Ramboda Falls is 109m high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world.

Day 7Tea Field and Factory

Tea Field and Factory – (Night stay at Nuwara Eliya.): In 1824 a tea plant was brought from China by the British and planted in the Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya, Ceylon. Tea cultivation was established in 1867 by James Taylor in Sri Lanka and is now produced throughout the year in the central highlands and southern regions of this beautiful tropical island. Based on the altitude at which it is grown tea is classified as high, medium or low grown teas.
